 Witney U3A, a registered charity and a member of the Third Age Trust, was established in 1985 and became branch number 35 of that organisation.  At the beginning of 2011, there were 792 U3As in the UK, with over 250,000 members. Witney U3A itself had a membership of 365.

    We  are committed to promoting lifelong educational, creative and leisure activities by drawing upon the knowledge, experience and skills of our members.  We organise study and activity groups in accordance with the wishes of the membership.

    Witney U3A is an autonomous, self-financing organisation, which relies solely on members’ subscriptions.  A full programme of talks (two each month), outside visits and special interest group meetings and visits are arranged. For further details, click on the "Meetings" and "News and Events" Buttons

  We run more than 40 interest groups which range from Genealogy to Computing, from Classical Music to Folk Dancing, from Wine Appreciation to Jazz Appreciation, from Chess to German Conversation. For further details click on the "Groups" Button.
